Description

Ag Wx Alerts delivers automated weather alert messages for locations you have saved in your account. Alerts are triggered by National Weather Service (NWS) warnings and watches. Alert types include Tornado Warnings, Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, Flash Flood Warnings, Tornado Watches, Flood Watches, Freeze Warnings, Extreme Heat Warnings, and Hurricane Warnings. SMS delivery is optional. Users who wish to receive alerts via SMS provide consent by entering their mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox on our signup page.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on weather conditions at your saved locations. During active weather, you may receive multiple messages in a short period. During quiet weather, you may receive no messages for extended periods. Typical frequency is 0–10 messages per week, but severe weather outbreaks may result in higher volumes.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless carrier’s pricing plan for details. Ag Wx Alerts does not charge per-message fees beyond your subscription cost.

Opt-Out

You can stop receiving SMS alerts at any time by replying STOP to any message from Ag Wx Alerts. You will receive a one-time confirmation message. You may also disable alerts from your Alerts Dashboard or by contacting us at [email protected].

Consent

SMS delivery is optional and is not required to subscribe to Ag Wx Alerts. By providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent box during signup, you expressly consent to receive automated SMS weather alert messages at the phone number you provide. We will not send SMS messages unless you have both provided a mobile number and checked the SMS consent box. Consent is given only through the opt-in flow on our signup page; we do not accept consent by SMS keyword, verbal consent, third-party lead sources, or any other channel.

Supported Carriers

Ag Wx Alerts supports major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and most regional carriers. Service may not be available on all carrier networks or in all coverage areas.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third party/affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Your phone number is stored securely and used solely for delivering weather alerts. We do not sell, share, or rent your phone number to third parties. SMS messages are delivered via Twilio, our SMS service provider, which processes your phone number solely for message delivery on our behalf. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
